PROMO VIDEO DETAILS
The live-action promo video is titled “A Zombie-less Fight: Saga Revenge Edition”.
The promo video features actors Hakuryuu and Kunio Murai of the Saga prefecture. The movie announcement pops up at the end. The video features them arguing over the prefecture. Hakuryuu voiced the character White Ryu in the Zombie Land Saga Revenge anime.
A key visual (below) was also unveiled and the zombie girls seem angry at something. The trail of dirt looks like they might be beamed up somewhere. Are we going to see some hot zombie J-Pop idol action in space?
PLOT AND SERIES HISTORY
Zombie Land Saga anime premiered in October 2018. It was streamed by both Crunchyroll and Funimation. The 12-episode anime was so popular that it received a sequel anime series called Zombie Land Saga Revenge. The sequel aired on April 8 and it was also streamed by Crunchyroll and Funimation.
The plot is described as such:
The anime follows Sakura Minamoto, who dreams of being an idol, but is hit by a car and wakes up as a zombie. A man named Kōtarō Tatsumi appears and tells her he’s recruiting her into an idol group made up of zombies, dead girls he has “recruited” from several eras of Japanese history.
The franchise has since expanded, inspiring a side-story manga titled Zombie Land Saga Gaiden: The First Zombie that was launched earlier this year. The anime even inspired a stage play titled Zombie Land Saga Stage de Do-n! at Sōgetsu Hall in Tokyo in September 2020 with four performances.
Madly in love with anime and football...... it's disturbing.
