Record of Ragnarok Gets Stage Play

After debuting on Netflix to mixed reviews on social media, Record of Ragnarok will return for a second season.

The second season of the anime will premiere on television in Japan on October 1. However, while we wait for the upcoming season, it has now been confirmed that the series will be getting a stage play in Japan soon. The stage play runs in Tokyo from November 27 – December 5.


The anime of Shinya UmemuraAjichika, and Takumi Fukui‘s Record of Ragnarok (Shūmatsu no Walküre) manga is inspiring a stage play that will run at Kokumin Kyosai Co-op Hall in Tokyo from November 27 to December 5.

General admission ticket sales will begin on October 24.

The stage play is titled Record of Ragnarok: The STAGE of Ragnarok.

Daisuke Sekimoto will participate in a collaboration wrestling match between DDT Pro Wrestling and Record of Ragnarok at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo on September 26.

26-year-old Haruna Iikubo, an ex-member of idol group Morning Musume., will star as Brunhilde, the oldest and the leader of the valkyries. After graduating from the group in 2018, she has been actively appearing in dramas and stage plays as an actress.

Haruna Iikubo had this to say about the stage play,

“I enjoyed both the original manga and the anime of Record of Ragnarok, so I was very happy to be asked to play this role. I would like to play Brunhilde, who is intelligent and graceful but sometimes has a foul mouth, enjoying the challenge to the gods with a sense of affinity. I’m looking forward to delivering the final battle between the gods and humanity, a fierce one-on-one battle, to everyone at the theater.”
