The original anime film, Bubble, by Wit Studio is slated to debut globally on April 28 and in Japanese theaters on May 13.
Netflix has released a trailer and key image (below) for Bubble as well as an all-star team of talent from the likes of Death Note and Attack on Titan.
PRODUCTION AT WIT STUDIO
The production studio for the project is Wit Studio, the company that has worked on Attack on Titan as well as Vinland Saga.
The star-studded production team consists of Tetsuro Araki (Attack on Titan, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress) directing the film at Wit Studio, with a script by Gen Urobuchi (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Fate/Zero novel, Psycho-Pass), and character designs by Takeshi Obata (Death Note, Platinum End). Hiroyuki Sawano (Attack on Titan, 86) is composing the music.
The anime film’s story follows a youth named Hibiki, who has a reckless lifestyle that almost costs him his life if it isn’t for a mysterious girl named Uta. The pair learn about a sound that only they can hear. This phenomenon will lead the way for more mysteries to be uncovered and a “revelation that will change the world.”
The trailer shows us a lot of eye-catching action that is garnished with spectacular animation.
The trailer shows a Tokyo that has been cut off from the rest of the world after mysterious bubbles that manipulate gravity have flooded the city. The city has become a place where groups of young people use their city as a battlefield for team parkour battles, jumping between buildings.
The film’s cast includes Jun Shison, Mamoru Miyano, Yuuki Kaji, and Tasuku Hatanaka.
Madly in love with anime and football...... it's disturbing.
