Fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the Part 6 anime ever since Part 5: Golden Wind finished airing on July 28, 2019.
Stone Ocean stars Jolyne Cujoh, the daughter of Part 3 protagonist, Jotaro Kujo. While driving with her boyfriend, Jolyne gets into an accident that kills the other passenger. However, the incident is framed as murder, and Jolyne is sentenced to 15 years behind bars at the Green Dolphin Street Prison in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
What ensues afterward is a journey as Jolyne makes allies to fight against other prisoners and guards to escape the prison and save her father. Stone Ocean also marks the final battle of the Joestar family against the evil vampire, Dio Brando.
Colorful Cast
Anime studio, David Productions, is back with what is sure to be a fantastic adaptation. Ai Fairouz is the voice of Jolyne, whose biggest role so far is as the main character Eripiyo from the anime, If My Favorite Pop Idol Made It to the Budokan, I Would Die.
Supporting her is Mutusi Tamura (best known for Kobayashi in Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid) as Ermes Costello (original name: Hermes Costello), Mariya Ise (Killua in Hunter x Hunter) as F.F., Yuichiro Umehara (Kureno in Fruits Basket) as Weather Forecast (original name: Weather Report), and Daisuke Namikawa (Ulquiorra in Bleach) as Narciso Anastasia (J.P. name: Narciso Anasui).
Rounding out the cast is Atsumi Tanezaki (Vivy in Vivy: Fluorite Eye’s Song) as Emporio Alniño and Daisuke Ono returning as Jotaro Kujo. We still don’t know who will play the main villain, Enrico Pucci.

The Future of JoJo
It’s currently unknown if Hirohiko Araki plans on continuing the series past JoJolion. He hasn’t given any public indication on whether he’s going to continue or end the series. In a 2013 interview, Araki said that he wants to keep going as a manga author until he is about 60 years old. He is currently 61 years old, so there is a chance that the series could end soon.
