DETAILS
Ghostbusters: Afterlife has called in some back-up from the characters of Shaman King in order to sell the movie to Japanese audiences. Ghostbusters and Shaman King are both popular vintage stories about the supernatural and they both got a new release in 2021.
The latest Ghostbusters film is scheduled to premiere in Japan on February 4 and will feature a Japanese language dub that stars voice actors Yoko Hikasa, Romi Park, and Minami Takayama, who will play the roles of Lucky Domingo, Callie Spangler, and Podcast, respectively. Hikasa, Park, and Takayama are also featured in the current Shaman King anime series which originally debuted in 2021.
In the ad, Shaman King characters recap the premise of Ghostbusters: Afterlife and highlight common themes between the two projects.
