Deep Insanity: The Lost Child Anime Unveils More Cast and Theme Song

The anime fall season is looking stacked up already. Deep Insanity: The Lost Child TV anime has released its second promo video.


The official Twitter account for Square Enix’s Deep Insanity: The Lost Child has unveiled the second promotional video, additional cast, staff, theme song artists, key visual, and premiere date for the anime project.

The project was launched in 2020 and has been developed in a variety of media, including manga, games, and anime. The Shin Oonuma (Fate/kaleid liner Prisma IllyaThe Misfit of Demon King Academy)-directed TV anime is set to premiere on  TOKYO MX, MBS, and BS11 on October 12, 2021.

The 110 second-long promo video previews the opening theme song “Inochi no Tomoshibi” (Light of Life) by Konomi Suzuki. The song will be released as her 22nd single on November 5, 2021. Kashitarō Itō will perform the ending theme song “Shinjuiro no Kakumei” (Pearl Gray Revolution).

Capping off a busy period for Square Enix, they also began streaming a trailer for the Deep Insanity: Asylum game, and it reveals that the game will debut for iOS, Android, and PC via Steam on October 14.

The anime’s plot is described thus:

The Randolph Syndrome: madness and unawakened sleep. This new disease is slowly but steadily closing in on humanity. It is said to be caused by the Asylum, a huge underground world that has emerged in Antarctica, where strange creatures different from those on the surface and unknown resources exist. People are willing to risk their lives to reach the depths of a new world shrouded in mystery for their own ambitions, the conspiracy of an organization, or vast wealth. And here, a young man with a wish in his heart is about to take on the front lines of the Asylum.

Among the staff is Shin Oonuma who is directing the anime at SILVER LINK, Kento Shimoyama is in charge of series composition, Kazuyuki Yamayoshi (The Misfit of Demon King Academy) is designing the characters, Mirai Kodai Gakudan (Grimms Notes) is composing the music, Fumiyuki Go is directing the sound, and Square Enix is presenting the anime in collaboration with Kadokawa.
