The production team from the anime film of Kana Ozawa‘s Blue Thermal Glider Club -Aonagi Daigaku Taiiku-kai Kōkū-bu- (Aonagi College Sports Festival Aviation Club) manga has debuted a new clip for the movie. Fans of the sports anime genre have a lot to be excited about in this paragliding anime series.
The trailer introduces Blue Thermal Glider Club members.
Tamaki Tsuru, an athletic girl, causes damage to a glider from her university and can’t pay back the debt. The gliding club’s leader ropes her into the club as a helper to make her pay, however, Tamaki soon discovers a passion for gliding.
The new trailer shows the protagonist Tamaki “Tsurutama” Tsuru about to go to bed on her first joint field trip with the glider club. However, she comes face-to-face with a rival university’s club — led by her own estranged half-sister, Chizuru. As Tsuru stays quiet amid Chizuru’s withering comments, Tsuru’s fellow club member Jun Kuramochi comes to her aid.
Cast members include Mayu Hotta as protagonist Tamaki Tsuru, Nobunaga Shimazaki as glider club member Jun Kuramochi, Junya Enoki as glider club member Daisuke Sorachi, Mikako Komatsu as Chizuru Yano, Tamaki’s half-sister, Daisuke Ono as Yō Asahina, Haruka Shiraishi as Yukari Muroi, Yō Taichi as Ayako Maki, a member of Aonagi’s glider club, Ayumu Murase as Eita Narihara, and Makoto Furukawa as Ryōhei Nanba.
Other cast are Rie Takahashi as Kaori Mochida, Taku Yashiro as Harukaze Aihara, Kengo Kawanishi as Kaede Hatori, and Minori Terada as Aonagi’s director.
Masaki Tachibana (Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, Barakamon, Princess Principal) is directing the film at Telecom Animation Film. He also penned the script alongside Natsuko Takahashi (Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, My Love Story!!, Farewell, My Dear Cramer). Toei is distributing the film.
Four-member piano rock band SHE’S is performing the film’s titular theme song, “Blue Thermal”, and they are also contributing to the song “Beautiful Bird” for the film.
This could be a really beautiful movie!
