The new Battlefield 6 game is possibly the most hyped game of the year. Gamers around the globe are patiently waiting in anticipation of the game’s release.
Although the official trailer has yet to drop, footage of the mainline Battlefield game has allegedly surfaced online, providing our first look at the 2021 title ahead of its scheduled June reveal.
All the Details About Battlefield 6
With the help of previously released visuals and voice leaks alike, we can confirm that the next Battlefield is expected to embrace a new-future setting, melding modern conflict with upcoming tech. It is said to provide the most immersive experience from any Battlefield game to date.
Electronic Arts has repeatedly framed the project as a “next-gen” experience, expected to leverage the best of the latest consoles with higher player counts, larger maps, and advanced destruction. So if you are considering buying a new console or a PC, this might be a perfect time.
The publisher most recently teased a June reveal for the next Battlefield, ahead of its debut on consoles and PC later in 2021.
The Biggest Battlefield 6 Leak
The latest video footage, first posted on the official Battlefield subreddit, appears to provide our closest look at the game. It remains unclear whether this footage represents the reveal trailer slated for June, or rather, a separate proof of concept unintended for public viewing.
The video was initially intended to be the game’s official reveal trailer, according to influencer Tom Henderson, who has published several Battlefield 6 reports over the last few months.
This week, Henderson tweeted, “I’ve also been told that ‘we’ll almost certainly be seeing a different reveal trailer from the one that has leaked online'”.
He later added, “The new theory going around is that the ‘Rocket Launch trailer’ was for internal use for investors etc. I can say with 100% confidence, that this is not the case. Quite a lot of community members (not Game Changers) have seen this trailer.”
What’s Going On With Battlefield 6?
Electronic Arts first teased Battlefield 6 in June 2020 and focused on technical advancements made around the project, supporting its promise of a “next-gen” vision.
“The reference [to next-gen] specifically from our prepared remarks was around the nature of gameplay. What we can do with the fidelity of the game, what we can do with physics, artificial intelligence, and the immersive nature of the game,” EA CEO Andrew Wilson told investors in early May.
Further details on Battlefield 6 have since surfaced through several leaks, breaking away from the 20th-century backdrops of Battlefield 1 and Battlefield V, through its near-future setting. We can expect to see drones, military robots, and other advanced technologies join the usual military arsenal, making the multiplayer very different from its predecessors.
Battlefield 6 will not only support next-gen consoles like the Ps5, Xbox Series X|S, and new PC hardware but Electronic Arts has also confirmed Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions in the pipeline.
