TMS Entertainment, the studio currently responsible for bringing Baki and his insane battles to life, released a new trailer for the upcoming season along with the official release date, September 30.

Fans still have a few more weeks to go before being reunited with the son of Yujiro!

The trailer gives us a better look at the next 12 episodes which will cover the young brawler battling Mike Tyson, a giant praying mantis, and a prison full of inmates to cap things off. The new season will be directed by Toshiki Hirano, who directed Magic Knight Rayearth and worked as an animator on many classic anime titles from the ’80s and ’90s, including Macross: Do You Remember Love?

It has been revealed that Nobunaga Shimazaki is returning to play the lead character, Baki Hanma.

Netflix describes Baki Hanma as such:

The story finally unfolds into a full-blooded clash between Baki Hanma and his father, Yujiro Hanma, who is known as the “strongest creature on earth.” The climax of the Baki universe, which depicted the “strongest parent-child brawl in the history of the world” in the original manga, has been adapted into the long-awaited anime!
