“B: The Beginning” Releases Trailer & Visual for the Second Season

Last year, Netflix announced that the psychological thriller anime on its platform will get a second season in 2021. Netflix has now unveiled a trailer and visual for “Season 2” of the anime. The trailer contains information about the returning cast as well as the premiere date.

B: The Beginning is an original net animation (ONA) series created by Production I.G and animator/character designer, Kazuto Nakazawa.

The second season will premiere on March 18. Note that the audio in the trailer can be switched between English and Japanese dubs.

Second Season & Premise

Netflix describes the second season’s story thus:

After Keith and Koku solved the incidents successfully, the world has regained its composure. In the months since then, Keith returns to the RIS to conduct his own investigation, and Koku is living a peaceful life with Yuna. They are visited by Kirisame, who was once supposed to have broken up with Kurou in death at the Faura Blanca Institute…

This suspenseful anime has a premise similar to Deathnote. It takes place in an alternate future, focusing on a mysterious serial killer and the investigator attempting to stop their reign of terror.

Production I.G released the first season of B: The Beginning in March 2018 on Netflix.

Cast & Staff Members

Nakazawa and Production I.G are listed as the original creators. Nakazawa and Yoshiki Yamakawa (Little Busters!) directed the series. Nakazawa also designed the characters and served as key animation supervisor. Katsuya Ishida wrote the screenplay.
