Aniplex Online Fest Returns in July

The first edition of Aniplex Online Fest was held last summer. As the coronavirus pandemic shook up a lot of things in the anime industry, anime, manga, and gaming conventions were also affected. Most events went virtual.

Now, this event will be returning soon!

ANNOUNCEMENT & DETAILS

Aniplex of America has announced that Aniplex Inc. will once again host an Aniplex Online Fest event this summer. This event will be taking place on Saturday, July 3rd.

Running from 6 PM to midnight (PDT), this virtual event will be streaming worldwide and will be completely free to view through YouTube.

5 Anime That Write Their Own Weird Rules

Aniplex Online Fest 2021 will be available in English and Japanese. During this event, there will be news from Aniplex shows and live performances from musical artists.

ANTICIPATED EVENT PROGRAMMING

This year’s event has been said to possess a very strong lineup. Aniplex revealed the first round of programming and it includes programming pertaining to Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Sword Art Online the Movie -Progressive- Aria of a Starless Night, Fate/Grand Order (anime project), and Puella Magi Madoka Magica 10th Anniversary Project x Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story.

There are still some unknown details about this programming but we hope that as the event draws closer, more of the projects currently behind the scenes will be announced too. Last year’s event showed off many of the projects Aniplex had in the works, and now, fans will be able to celebrate these projects virtually once again.

Being the first edition of Aniplex Online Fest, last summer’s event attracted over 800,000 viewers and it’s going to be back next month- bigger and better than before.
